The last Blog.

I think that the idea of a blog its good, but at some points was really boring at least some topics like which my favorite subject is, but also some were funny and interactive like the ones that were more personals. As a personal opinion, I think that the blog has really helped me to be less shy at the moment of write, cause in the first blogs I wrote a lot because I was nervous, but with every blog I was more confident that I was doing something good, also I like a lot to write so, the idea of practicing my writing in English was really good for me.

Some change that I would do to the is in the topics of the blog, some were funny and interactive, but others were so boring. I think also that it would be really motivating for the student to have the option of writing (at least one time) of something that he chooses, as a personal option, and not of the group.

Something that I would really like to write in this blog was to where would travel and about my favorite hobby, why I like it, what motivate me to keep doing it.

I think that the blog was nice.

My Favorite Serie

Had to choose one of the series that i like is as difficult than choose my favourite artist. But one that i have seen these days that i loved it was Stranger things, That is directed by Matt and Ross Duffer, the Characters are Joyce Byers (by Winona Ryder) the mother of Will, The Chief Jim Hopper (By David Harbour). Mike Wheeler (By Finn Wolfhard), Dustin Henderson (By Gaten Matarazzo) and Lucas Sinclair (By Caleb McLaughlin) that are the friend of Will Byers (By Noah Schnapp) and the mysterious girl Eleven (By Millie Bobby Brown).
The serie is set in Hawkins on the 80's, the serie start when a kid called Will Byers disappear and at the same time a mysterious girl that apparently is running from something or someone appears in the town. This girl with the friends of Will will try to found him while his mother and the police officer of the town do the same. Also with the disappear of the child it start a sequence of weird events in the town.
I Like the serie because the set its really good, it really reflect the idea of America at those year, the "Living the American Dream", has the Supernatural fact that i love and also the main characters are kids that try to save the world.

An expert of my field.

To choose an expert of my field I wanted to be someone of Chili because I think that’s important to know who the important scientist of the country are.

So, I’m going to talk about Pablo Valenzuela, he was born in Chili, he studied in the “Universidad de Chile” biochemistry, has a Doctor in Chemistry in the Northwestern University in Illinois and a Postdoctoral in the University of California in San Francisco. In 1981 he founded a biotechnology company in California: Chiron Corporation.

He was the responsible of all the research of the company, between the more important of them there is the development of a technology capable of the production of foreign proteins in yeast, like the insulin or some viral antigens used for vaccines, with this technology he was the one that discovered a vaccine for the Hepatitis B and the existence of the Hepatitis C and the blood test to know who has it. Also, under the direction of the doctor Valenzuela, in Chiron was copied and sequenced the VHI.

The reason why I like, and I choose him is because he’s my example that a Chilean scientist can be recognize in the international community and can do an important contribution for the humanity.

My Favorite Subject

I think that as a "mechon" the change its to big, in the way that you relate with your teachers and how they teach. So its really different if I talk of my favourite subject as an college student and as a university student. I remember that in the school i used to love chemistry (I still do) but when we had laboratory i hated cause i used to think that it was boring, there was not enough material for everyone and some time you had to conform with looking to someone do everything. But now in the University i think that its really funny because you get the chance of practising everything and learning how it all work. The fun part is doing everything and watching how it works, and how you can apply this in your future as a professional.
Between the contents that we saw this semester was mostly how to pull apart some components and how to use all the material in the lab, but the most entertaining thing was the acid base titration, and I've got the change of doing it twice, not that mi proud of that, because they let me do it twice because the first time was a total failure. But even tough that, i had a great time in the lab this semester.

My Favorite Antiheroe

Well, to start choosing ONE Villian, Heroe or Antihero is a really difficult task, I think that almost impossible. But if I had to choose it would be Jessica Jones from Marvel Series, that is based in the Comics where she was created by the writer Brian Michael Bendis and the artist Michael Gaydos.
Jessica got her powers in a car accident where her parents and brother died, after that she was adopted by a rich family, she gets to be pretty close to her step-sister Trish Walker. Years after she is manipulated by the sociopath Kilgraves (that has the power of mind control) to do as he wants, she gets to escape but she gets traumatized.
One of the reasons why I like so much Jessica is that she has a lack of morality, she drinks a lot and works finding people or taking pictures of what they are doing. But the reason is that in the first season Kilgraves is back, but manipulating other people, and even knowing that she could get manipulated again reviving all the trauma, She decides to help the people that need it without looking for any credit.

My Favorite Photograph

I really like to take photos, and I really enjoy watching professional photos of the fauna, but my favorite photos are the ones of my dog. She is a mix of whatever you can think, but is so beautiful, I’m always taking photos of her, when we out on a walk, when she is taking the sun or sleeping in my bed. This one is my favorite because is from the first time that we went on a walk together in March eight of 2016, she was so little, and now is like six times de size she was before. The fun of this photo was that she just lied in the ground and it was impossible to make her stand up (we were literally just 10 minutes walking) so I have to take her in my arms to go back home, and when we were back I realized that she was sleeping in my arms.

My Favorite Musician

In a normal day I listen to a lot of music of different types, I like pop, rock, classic, electronic and some reggaeton, but at the beginning was just pop, I was really mind-close when it was about music types, I literally was just listening the Disney artist of the time (Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez etc…). But one day in (I think) 2014 show me a band that was a little different and now is for far my favorite band, that is Imagine dragons, they fit in alternative pop, alternative rock, even alternative electronic, I think that, this is one of the reasons of why I like it so much, because it has different songs and it´s not repetitive.

I wouldn´t be able to tell you which is my favorite song, but one of my favorite videos is the one of the song Believer, check it out down here! Is awesome.

My Favourite Piece of Technology

Which is the best piece of technology?

The earphones, they're two little speakers that you put into your hears and you are the only one able to listen.

I think that the first earphones that I had were in 2014, at first the phones weren't advanced, so I used them a lot with the computer (On Youtube), then I remember that a friend taught me how to download music and pass it to the phone, that was the start of my real love for these earphones, I used to listen to music always (literally, even in class or sometimes I used to fall asleep listening to music), now I don't use them that much, but every time that I take the bus to go to university, or in the night they are with me.  

I think that in my lifetime I have had at least 10 headphones, the ones that I have now have the record in survival (one year).

The reason because I love my headphones is that it gives you the ease of listen to your own music wherever you are without annoying someone else and I think that without my earphones life would be so boring, what would I do in the bus? be sited and stare at nothing in particular? earphones really save lives from being really boring!

Why did I choose This

When i was a child, at the beginning i wanted to be a fireman, because i thought that they were the most amazing thing in the world, i must confess that i was obsessed. But as the time passed my mind changed. At the start of high school i had no ideas, not either a real vocation.
In second grade I had a really vague idea, i thought that i was made to study laws, to be honest i don't know why i wanted to study that, at the time i hated science and i think that one was the best option.
Then i changed of school and i met a professor that made me realise that I was really interested for science and that i was good at that.
After the start of the last year of high school i went to a summer school in the Uch that was called "El quimico farmaceutico y su acción" and that really opened myeyes.
When I chose the application i was undecided between Chemistry Engineering or Chemistry and Pharmacy. But at the end i put Pharmacy first.
Despite the fact that most of my classes are from a common plan, i love what i'm studying, I think that the professors are more than great, I have been able to make friends, so I love my University life and it has been a great experience.
For the future I hope to that i'll be able to work in research outside of Chile, making new discoveries that can make a change in the world.

My Autobiography

Hi everyone my name is Felipe Navarrete. I think that the best way to star a story is from the beginning. I was born in Vitacura in Alemana Clinic in December 17th of 1999, the first years of my life i lived on a small flat in La Reina. In 2003 was born my sister Antonia, the next year I entered to the school "Los Sagrados Corazones de Manquehue", latter that year a month before my  youngest brother born we had to change to a house (cause the flat for a family of five was really small), so my parents decided to go to Lo Barnechea, there i lived the rest of my childhood. My cousins lived really close to me so we used to see us a lot, we used to go to play to the park or some of our houses, and we had a really fun time.

At the age of 12 my parents decided to divorce, was hard to be honest, we had to go to another house with my mom, the system that we had at the beginning was that one week we were with my father, and the other with mother, was really tired to be changing constantly so after six month me and my brothers asked if it would be possible to just change of house the weekend and how it works until today.

To be honest i never really liked the school, it made me think that i was stupid and that i didn't have aptitude for literally anything, i never had great notes, I really hated chemistry and mathematics, until at the age of 15 I decided to change of school and i did it in the half of the year to the "Compañia Maria de Apoquindo", I can say with my heart that was one of the best decisions of my life. But sadly that year i got sick, i had to skip almost half of the semester. The school gave me the option of pass the year doing some exams or repeat the year. At first i was convinced that i had to pass, but then i saw repeat as an opportunity, so the next year I started again with new classmates, there I did mostly all of my friends. i knew the Chemistry professor that made me realise that i was able to do whatever i want and that maybe study Chemistry after school was a real option. in the vacations after second grade i decided to enter to the summer school of the University of Chile to "El químico farmaceutico y su acción" and that summer i decided that chemistry and pharmacy was what a wanted to do.

Now I can say happily, that i have a really good relation with both of my parents, I live with my mom, her boyfriend, his 3 children, my two brothers and the Moka (my dog). I enter to what i wanted to study and until the moment I'm really happy. in my free time i like to read, play a lot of computer (A lot) mostly league of legends, I do yoga two times at week, I play guitar and piano, love go to walk with Moka and sometimes I play board games with my friends

About me and my life

Hi, I´m Felipe. I´m nineteen years old, I live in Santiago of Chile, Vitacura with my two siblings, three step-siblings, my mother, stepfather and my dog (I love him). I was born in Santiago, i think that in Vitacura too but i don't really remember. The first half of my life i lived in Lo Barnechea with my parents and my siblings. In my life I have had two turtles, two dogs, thee chickens and one rabbit (no at the same time).
I have been in two different schools, the first one I enter when i was 4 years old and its call Los Sagrados Corazones de Manquehue, I hated that school, hated my classmates, my teachers, well the school in general, then when i was 15 i changed to the Compañia De Maria de Apoquindo and was one of the best experiences of my life.
I love music, i listen a lot of different types of music, I play the guitar and the piano but just as a hobbies, I love animals in general but specially octopus and dogs and I do yoga. 
Actually i'm Chemistry and Pharmacy student, i'm trying to adapt to the university and to survive to this one (specially to mechanics and his teacher, no names but i think that his evaluations are hard).
I want to travel around the world and to work as a professional and discover some cure and make my difference in the world.
